4/24/15 Sandy is our 1st Floor RN Unit Coordinator and has been with LHHS for 3 years.
Sandy and her family live in Eldorado. In her spare time she spends time with her grand kids. Her and her husband are able to travel a little bit and are excited about planning more trips to see more of this great country that we have.
Before joining LHHS Sandy was a surgical nurse. Sandy says in that position she was only with a patient before surgery, during and sometimes after for a little while. It is hard to be very personal with patients in this short of time. She wanted to find something that she got to know the person more and use more of her nursing skills. We are thankful that she says this job has fulfilled that!
Sandy says "I enjoy the staff. We have a great crew of CNA's on the AM shift and they make my job easier to do. The nurses are great team players and I can count on them to help when needed."
We asked Sandy what her job is and she sums it up like this, "I am a registered nurse on the floors. I take care of the residents and am an advocate for them when needed. I will listen to concerns along with the nursing part of passing out medications, doing treatments and assessing. Family is always encouraged to be involved with their family member's care and I am willing to discuss whatever concerns they have. We work as a team and all team members are willing to help out when needed in all areas at the home."
Sandy's words of wisdom and advice: Have faith in God. You never know where He is going to put you in life. I believe this is where He wants me right now. So always take a moment to listen to what He is trying to tell you and you will end up right where you should be. It's never a coincidence but a Godcoincidence.
