Many of you have no doubt faced the realities of a growing family.  The solution may be an addition to your home, upgrading the existing structure or even moving to a bigger house.  Here at Lutheran Homes & Health Services (LHHS) our family continues to evolve - and like many households, we are feeling the constraints of an aging facility at the Macy Street campus that is no longer adequate to meet the growing needs of our residents and the many people we serve in Fond du Lac.

Now is the time to expand our program resources and improve our facilities; we have not arrived at this conclusion lightly.  Recently, our LHHS Board of Directors initiated a very thorough Strategic Planning Process to evaluate our facility and program needs.

The outcome of this planning process was the identification of specific improvements and upgrades that must be made to our current facilities.  These improvements will result in modernizing our physical facilities and creating new resources designed to enhance the enjoyment, safety and comfort of our skilled nursing and assisted living residents.  We will also be taking steps to increase our endowment in order to ensure our future and promise of not ask someone to leave when they have exhausted their financial resources, as well as to expand our Mission and services to include an additional diversity of services for a new sector of seniors not currently served.

We have formed a campaign steering committee that meets on a frequent basis to plan the campaign. Currently, we are recruiting volunteers to serve on the larger capital campaign committee.
