New Fitness Instructor, Amy Zimmerman Joins LHHS!
LHHS Welcomes New Fitness Instructor
Amy is very excited to join the Wellness Center and continue the mission of living long and living well! Amy has a passion for fitness, learning, and passing what she has learned on to others. Amy obtained a B.A. in Anthropology from Marquette University while in the Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps. She served as a commissioned naval officer for a number of years, both active duty and reserves. After separating from active duty, Amy moved to Fond du Lac to be near family while her son started school. She spent a few years working at the Fond du Lac YMCA lifeguarding, teaching swim lessons, and instructing the High Intensity Aqua Aerobics and Deep Well Abdominals classes. These classes combined traditional calisthenics exercises, military exercises, dance moves, and her own personal flare. She is eager to bring you some familiar exercises and introduce you to new ones.
Stretch and Condition on Tuesday/Thursday from 7a to 7:30a: 30 minute session dedicated to stretching and conditioning your body to maintain flexibility, agility, and core strength. This class utilizes a mix of traditional stretching, Pilates, and Yoga poses.
Cardio Fun on Tuesday from 4:30p-5:15p: A moderate impact cardio class (with low impact modifying options) that incorporates boxing, calisthenics, dance, and step aerobics.
