When Wayne Mathers experienced an unexpected surgery, his life suddenly changed. His sister, a nurse, said the Post-Acute Center was the best place to do his rehabilitation. So Wayne came to the Post-Acute Center to get back on his feet. With hard work and a dedicated team of therapists and nurses, Wayne is walking again. Not only walking, but also dancing! Wayne said, “It’s a great place to get any kind of help. They get you back home again!” Now Wayne is back doing the important things in life - dancing with his wife, Ruthie.

LaVerne Breister BauerLaVerne Breister Brauer is a long time resident of Fond du Lac. As a former performer at the Heidel House in Green Lake, LaVerne was known throughout the surrounding area. After having hip replacement surgery, LaVerne came to the Post-Acute Center for rehabilitation. She was thrilled with the wonderful, caring staff that made her recovery easier than she expected. The team of dedicated therapists and nurses provided LaVerne with the expertise to get her back on her feet and walking again. As LaVerne sang, "I'm walking. Yes indeed. I'm talking about you and me."
