Biggest Loser Season V
Lutheran Homes and Health Services is excited to announce Season Five of The Biggest Loser. The Biggest Loser will be led by LHHS’ own fearless trainer- Mary Jo Neumann. Mary Jo will direct an eight-week program starting Wednesday, October 2nd, focused on getting healthy, achieving personal goals, and transforming your body and life. LHHS is committed to Living Long, Living Well and invites employees, Wellness Center members, and all community members to participate in this exciting challenge.
Each week contestants will be weighed-in, receive nutrition information, participate in work out classes specifically geared towards The Biggest Loser participants, and be eligible for weekly prizes. Mary Jo will also be offering daily and weekly health tips as well as being available at all times to participants via email, phone, and website with any concerns or questions you might have about the challenge. Cost is $25 for Wellness Center members and $50 for Community members. For an additional $10 you can get Before & After photos and a T-shirt to let everyone know you are committed to being active, healthy, and Living Long, Living Well.
Take advantage of this opportunity to train like a contestant on the popular TV show, The Biggest Loser, and have a personal trainer available to you to help you reach all your fitness goals. Previous participants have lost more than 2,000 pounds in the first four seasons. One participant stated “I have kept the weight off, reduced all my medications, and now am free from fibromyalgia symptoms for the first time.”
The Wellness & Rehab Center provides a wide range of therapies for outpatients from the community as well as residents within our programs. Services include a full spectrum of speech, physical and occupational therapy for all ages.
Our highly experienced therapists from Valley Bay Therapy bring a vast array of training and experience in the treatment of various conditions including stroke, fractures, joint replacements, brain injuries, as well as post-hospital rehabilitation. The therapy team works closely with each patient or resident to help them achieve their personal goals.

Mary Jo Neumann, Wellness Coordinator at LHHS and Certified Wellness Coach and Personal Trainer, is an accomplished specialist in wellness and nutrition, serving individuals of all ages with a variety of exercise and total wellness programs.
As a member, you will be motivated to improve your lifestyle through increased physical activity and healthier nutritional choices. Once you begin your fitness program, you will realize increased energy, higher self-esteem and an overall improvement in your quality of life.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sunday 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Please note the Step Aerobics class is full.
Community Membership Options:
55 and older $16 per month
Under 55 $21 per month
A $30 Joining Fee will be applied per individual membership activation.
Nutritional Consultation and/or Personal Training Services by Mary Jo Neumann available by individual appointment for $30 per half hour.
